The purporse of this diploma thesis is to integrate new sensors into robot HERO's sensing system. The robot was given new Hokuyo laser range finder and Sharp optical distance sensors. Also the control software had to be upgraded to be able to process information given by new sensors. Initial state of the robot also required some mechanical work and some new parts to be manufactured.
