Design of Mobile Robot Positioning System

This work deals with a possibility to use magnetic navigation and tracking of mobile robotis. The work is inspired by existing medical instrument { a heart catheter with magnetic-¯eld navigation system. At ¯rst the theory of magnetic navigation system is brie°y introduced and then hardware of the catheter is probed. An accurate measurement module based on 18b A/D converter (AD7678) and 32b microcontroller (LPC2119) is designed after. This unit is the heart of the gauging device. In the last sections measurement results of gauging device, a simple 1D position sensor, are described.
