Automation of laboratory for calibration of measuring instruments

This Master Thesis deals with the design and implementation of a software system for automated calibration of measuring instruments of company Orbit Merret. The proposed software system for automated calibration can connect calibrated and auxiliary devices via RS-232/RS-485 interface while calibrators and accurate measuring and verification devices are managed via GPIB bus. The proposed software system has on-line SQL connection to the company Information System. By a series of SQL commands it receives data about the calibrated device and stores back calibration result and protocols.The software environment is created in the Embarcadero RAD Studio in Delphi programming language.
