Support for Wi-Fi Networks in a Resource Reservation Framework
Author: Tuka Martin
This thesis deals with resource reservation framework FRSH/FORB and its support for wifi networks. It extends it to possibility of adaptation for changes of transmission bitrate during communication between applications using framework. Theoretical part of the thesis describes the way framework is working with resources, and current functionality of wifi networks. Also describes another technologies used in practical part. Practical part describes possibilities of framework extension, so it will be able to work with more different bit-rates of wifi network. Here are shown individual steps how to achieve this task - gathering wifi conditions for each station in network, evaluation of conditions and adaptation of application for this functionality.
