Temperature monitoring

In the present work we study possibilities of temperature measuring in a server room and subsequent temperature data collecting and passing the data into a PC. A commercially available solution using 1-Wire bus from Maxim Integrated Products was chosen and a device for temperature sensors data collecting was constructed. This device allows a direct connection to a PC for which a data processing application was written. This application uses the RRDtool utility for creating temperature plots. The whole measuring system was then set up in the server room in the FEE building at Charles Square in Prague, where it will serve for long-term temperature monitoring.
