Design and Construction of a tiny Jet Engine Control Unit

This thesis deals with conceptual design and construction of a digital control unit for modeler jet engine (FADEC). The unit is designed to be compatible with visualization software provided by a fellow student Miroslav Hajek. A brief description of basic functional principles and properties of a small turbine is given in the first part. The control unit, built around the Philips LPC 2119 microcontroller is described in the following parts, along with some preliminary results acquired during lab testing.
