The Converter OpenTherm (for connection of the boiler to Tecomat system with control via OpenTherm)

This diploma thesis is focused on the design of converter for the connection of boilers using OpenTherm communication protocol to the Tecomat PLCs with TCL-2 bus. In the first part, both communication interfaces and the ZiLOG Z8 processor are introduced. After that follows design and realization of the module and its printed circuit boards. In the next part the design of control software for the Z8 microcontroller in the C progra- mming language is described. The last part is dedicated to realization and testing of the prototype converter module.
