Implementation Of Adaptive Control servo units of CNC Cutting Machine

Auto-tuning PSD controller has been proposed and applied to the distributed control system of CNC-controlled machines for oxygen shape-cutting of sheet metal and for cutting with the aid of the plasma technologies, in this thesis. The algorithm implementation in the C programming language for the master computer with Linux operation system, has been included in this work too.
The proposed method results from frequency synthesis and achieves prescribed phase margin and thus guarantees quality of the closed loop transfer function. Controller synthesis is based on plant transfer function obtained using least square method model identification using ARX model. The effectiveness of the proposed method is shown through simulations and experiments on the control system with real servo unit.
