Solution of the communication between system NX5030 of INTRONIX company and serial made PLC modules

The diploma dissertation deals with modernization of grinder machine controller NX5030 system and is divided into two parts:
The first one is about communication between control system NX5030 and programmable logic controllers. The Result is serial communication protocol and programs for PLCs handling communication.
In the second part CAN controller is described written in VHDL language and verified in gate array Spartan XC2S100 made by XILINX. Controller is able to work with both standard or extended CAN frames, registers are made compatible with well known SJA 1000 CAN controller.
