Design of Mobile Robot Positioning System

This work deals with a possibility to use magnetic navigation and tracking of mobile robotis. The work is inspired by existing medical instrument's a heart catheter with magneticfield navigation system.
At first the theory of magnetic navigation system is briefly introduced and then hardware of the catheter is probed. An accurate measurement module based on 18b A/D converter (AD7678) and 32b microcontroller (LPC2119) is designed after. This unit is the heart of the gauging device. In the last sections measurement results of gauging device, a simple 1D position sensor, are described.
