Laboratory Equipment with Belt Conveyor

The goal of my bachelor work was to build a transporter for usage of students of CTU Prague. Both parts, electrical and mechanical were meant to be realized. Main sections of the instrument are belt transporter ran by DC motor equipped by an incremental sensor for speed detection, followed by optical gate for detection of objects’ presentation and control unit. The control unit uses a processor to evaluate signals from incremental sensor and optical gate to recognize, how many objects passed through the gate, even though they are stacked together. This instrument will be helpful for students to get knowledge and experiences with used sensors, mostly because of the opportunity to see them working practically in use.
