Profinet is an industry standard developed by PNO (PROFIBUS Nutzeorganisation) in 1999. Main principles of Profinet are based on open industry standards of Ethernet, TCP/IP, RPC at network layer, on DCOM at application layer. Goal of this diploma thesis is to make an experimental model of simple industry chain (2 movers, robot, controller, monitoring) on which we will be able to demonstrate basic functional behaviour (data transfer, configuration). As Siemens's configuration tool iMap is not able to setup third parties products there was developed another one which was named KiMap and supports basic configuration operations only.
